It was my birthday this week and to celebrate we went for lunch to The Pig on the Beach. We went to it’s sister-restaurant, The Pig, just before Huxley was born to celebrate our 5 year anniversary and had a wonderful time so were excited to try this one out too. We weren’t disappointed.
It was a typical January day. Freezing, windy and cold but we didn’t let that dampen our spirits. The hotel itself is incredible, it looks like a haunted house. And the views, even on a grey, miserable day are absolutely stunning. I’d love to go back in the summer and sit out on the lawn with a nice, icy cold drink (and maybe a pizza from the outdoor oven).

We got Hux some posh fish fingers and ordered ourselves the steak and chips. I thought it was the best steak I’d ever had in this country but Nick said his was over-chargrilled but he was pretty impressed with the bernaise sauce. My only complaint was that the chips were a bit too salty but other than that I was a happy sausage.
